Triconex 2401 Digital output baseplate
Working principle
Signal reception: The Triconex system adopts a three-redundancy design. The 2401 digital output baseplate will simultaneously receive digital signals from three redundant controller channels. These signals are usually instruction signals that have undergone logical operations and are used to indicate the start and stop, switch status, etc. of external devices. They are represented in binary form, for example, "0" and "1" respectively represent different states.
Signal voting and processing: The base plate is equipped with a built-in voting mechanism, and a three-to-two voting method is usually adopted. That is, the signals input from the three channels are compared. If the signals from two or three of the channels are consistent, the signal is considered valid. This ensures the accuracy and reliability of the received signal and effectively prevents incorrect signal output caused by the failure of a single channel.
Signal isolation and amplification: To avoid interference from external circuits to the system and prevent signal attenuation, the 2401 module will isolate the signal after voting. Usually, photoelectric isolation and other technologies are adopted to electrically isolate the internal circuit from the external circuit. Meanwhile, the signal will be amplified to enable it to have sufficient driving capacity to drive external load devices.
Signal output: The processed and amplified digital signal will be transmitted to external devices through the output port of the module.
