28/32 Heavy Industry has won another contract from 28/32 National Shipping Company for the construction of two 174000 cubic meter LNG ships, with a contract amount of approximately KRW 415.6 billion (approximately USD 362 million), and plans to deliver them in the second half of 2023.

It is reported that these two new ships are alternative orders in the new LNG ship lease agreement signed earlier this year between 28/32 and global energy company 28/32.

28/32 and 28/32 signed a lease agreement for a new 174000 cubic meter LNG ship, with a lease term of 7 years. It is reported that this new ship will be built by 28/32 Heavy Industry Group and is scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of 2023. It will be operated by 28/32 and responsible for technical management. It will become the latest ship in the company's new generation of conventional Atlanticmax LNG carrier series. The contracts between 28/32 and 28/32 also include alternative leases for two other ships.

On January 11th, 28/32 Shipbuilding Ocean, the second level holding company responsible for shipbuilding business of 28/32 Heavy Industry Group, announced that the company had received an order for one 174000 cubic meter LNG ship at a cost of 207.8 billion Korean won (approximately 181 million US dollars), which will be built by 28/32 Heavy Industry and is expected to be delivered to the shipowner before the third quarter of 2023. The contract also includes alternative orders for two LNG ships of the same class.
