ATUMCHANICS Group will further expand its LNG powered fleet and will subscribe to four additional LNG powered vehicle transport ships at two Chinese shipyards.

Atomechanics Group recently revealed that the company has signed long-term charter agreements with Swedish shipowners and Norwegian companies respectively, leasing four new LNG powered vehicle transport ships to be deployed on the North Atlantic route from Emden, Germany to Veracruz, Mexico. These four new ships will be built by Chinese shipping companies and put into use by the end of 2023.

The new ship will use a 13300 kW dual fuel engine provided by Atumemechanics, with a speed of 15-16 knots. The two-stroke engine of Atumemechanics adopts high-pressure technology, which will not cause methane slippage and can further improve the environmental performance of ships.
