Air friction type disc brake for rotating platform

DBF is a different caliper disc brake, it is small, flexible and stationary installation.This small size friction brake braking torque is not large, so some pieces of it used together for one braking plate is available. DBF brake's friction pads are use non-asbestos material, it is durable and will not produce dust during operation.

DBF pneumatic disc brake is an easy structure caliper disc brake, it comprises of two friction pads, stationary frame, cylinder, piston and etc. Normally it is released, after supplying air pressure, this brake's two braking pads clamp braking steel plate together, so as to make braking plate and driving part stopped. 

This air caliper disc brake is widely used in all kinds of rotating platform, working machinery, packing and printing machinery, rubber tire machinery, wire machinery, paper making machinery, stretch-wire machinery, stranding machinery, winding machine, trimming shears machinery, unwind machine, orientation machinery, tension controller and etc.

From this case, we can know that DBF caliper disc brake is used for rotating platform. One rotating platform used two pieces of this brake. DBF brake is used to clamp friction disk. As usually, the platform is rotated by motor. When it needs to stop in a certain angle, inputting air pressure, then DBF caliper disc brake's two friction pads clamped friction disk, then rotating platform stopped and fixed.

There are three models of this air disc brake, DBF-8, DBF-10, DBF-15. Different model means its two braking pads open distance is different, so their braking disc distance is 8mm, 10mm and 15mm. Friction panel diameter different, its braking force is different, too. Following is the detail parameter and technical data of this brake:

From above air pressure versus torque, we can know that DBF type brake's clamp torque is not high. The minimum braking disc diameter is 220mm. When braking disk diameter is 260mm, DBF-8, DBF-10 and DBF-15 braking torque is 80N.m; when disk diameter is 350mm, their braking torque is 110N.m; when disk diameter is 500mm, their produce braking power is 160N.m; when disk diameter reach to 600mm, their stopping force is 200N.m. So we can know that braking force is different as its braking plate diameter.
