IR3551 Integrated PowIR Stage ? It is a synchronous step-down gate driver integrated with control MOSFET and synchronous MOSFET Schottky diode. It internally optimizes PCB layout, heat transfer, and driver/MOSFET timing. Customized gate drivers and MOSFET combinations enable higher efficiency required by cutting-edge CPU, GPU, and DDR memory designs at lower output voltages.
A switching frequency of up to 1.0MHz can achieve high-performance transient response, allowing for miniaturization of output inductors and input and output capacitors while maintaining industry-leading efficiency. The superior efficiency of IR3551 results in the smallest size and lower solution costs. The IR3551 PCB occupies space and is compatible with IR3550 (60A) and IR3553 (40A).
Compared with the inductor DCR sensing method based on the optimal inclusion controller, the integrated current sensing amplifier achieves superior current sensing accuracy and signal-to-noise ratio.
IR3551 adopts body braking ? Features can reduce output capacitors. The synchronous diode simulation mode in IR3551 eliminates the zero current detection burden of PWM controllers and improves the optical load efficiency of the system.
IR3551 is specifically optimized for delivering CPU core power in server applications. The ability to meet the strict requirements of the server market also makes IR3551 very suitable for driving GPU and DDR memory designs and other high current applications.
