German technical background VOK?- DF 1797 Silicone Defoamer and Defoamer
For solvent based, high solid and solvent-free 99.99% UV printing ink and varnish and polyurethane resin thermosetting plastics. Processing aids for thermosetting resin systems and polishing agents (Pickering lotion).

VOK?- DF 1797 is a silicone defoamer suitable for radiation curing screen printing ink. The defoaming effect can be achieved even at low dosage, and the leveling and substrate wettability can be improved by increasing the dosage. Under proper shearing, the additive can also be used for liquid radiation curing or water-based printing ink.
Recommended dosage
0.02-2% auxiliary dosage (supply form) is based on the general formula.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
To ensure full effect, antifoam should be added as early as possible in the grinding phase or at the beginning of production. If it is added later, it is necessary to ensure that the shear force is high enough so that the additives can be well dispersed and prevent thermosetting plastics.
Product features and advantages
according to different dosage VOK?- DF 1797 is not only an organic silicon defoamer, but also a leveling agent or processing aid/compatibilizer. The additive is suitable for polyurethane system. The defoaming effect can be achieved even at low dosage, and the leveling and substrate wettability can be improved by increasing the dosage. Further increase the dosage, VOK?- DF 1797 will be emulsifiable. The defoaming characteristics can be observed in isolated systems.

0.05-3% of auxiliary dosage (form of supply) is based on the general formula.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
To ensure full effect, the additive shall be added at the initial stage of production. If it is added later, it is necessary to ensure that the shear force is high enough so that the auxiliary agent can be well dispersed.
When used as a processing aid/compatibilizer, the aid shall be added to the polyol before the addition of incompatible components.

VOK?- DF 1797 is a processing aid containing organic silicon. In Pickering lotion, its hydrophobic effect achieves high gloss effect on rubber and plastic surfaces. On the glass substrate, VOK?- DF 1797, as an anti fog additive, will not affect light reflection.
Recommended dosage
10-25% auxiliary dosage is based on Pickering lotion and used with 0.9% LAPONITE-RD (supply form).
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
VOK?- DF 1797 must be emulsified with LAPONITE-RD at 20000 rpm in water using high-speed mixing equipment (such as Ultra Turrax, Dispermat AS or SR technology Dispermat). Then the water lotion can be used as a care product.
