Product features and advantages

VOK?- C 8013 is specially developed for carbon fiber reinforced plastic systems for free radical initiated curing. The additive improves the mechanical properties of the final product by increasing the adhesion between the fiber and the matrix. The degree of increase depends on the choice of carbon fiber and matrix resin system.

Recommended use

VOK?- C 8013 is recommended for various carbon fiber reinforced systems initiated and cured by free radicals. Especially in the heat curing molding, such as SMC/BMC, pultrusion molding or RTM, the additive can improve the strength. VOK?- C 8013 can be used for vinyl ester fibers and epoxy fibers. It is applicable to various free radical curing matrix resins. The additive can be used as a secondary sizing agent for fibers, such as direct spraying without removing the first sizing agent. The storage period of the re sizing fiber is highly dependent on the storage conditions and should be determined by a series of tests.

The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.

1-10% additives (purchased form) are based on size. 3-10% of additives (purchased form) are based on carbon fiber. 1-10% additives (purchased form) are based on resin.

VOK?- C 8013 shall be added to the mix before use, or to the sizing agent or resin. For secondary sizing, the additive can be used in the spraying process.

Special precautions
