1. Product introduction

TD604 series asphalt penetration tester is professionally designed and manufactured by Hebei Tianqi Xingzi Testing Equipment Co., LTD., in accordance with the requirements of T0604-2011 "Asphalt Penetration Test Method" in standard JTG E20-2011 "Test Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixture in Highway Engineering" of the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China.

Suitable for measuring the penetration degree of road petroleum asphalt, polymer modified asphalt and liquid petroleum asphalt distillation or emulsified asphalt residue after evaporation, 0.1mm juice. The standard test conditions are temperature 25℃, load 100g, penetration time 5s.

4. Product introduction

4.1 Features of the product

① The needle and connecting rod are easy to disassemble and assemble, convenient to check the quality.

The lighting device is convenient to observe the contact between the needle tip and the sample surface.

④ Low temperature water bath can be used for low temperature needle penetration test.

5.1.1 Test preparation steps

(1) Prepare the sample according to the sample preparation method in this procedure.

② Adjust the constant temperature water tank to the required test temperature of 25℃, or 15℃, 30℃(5℃) according to the test requirements, and keep stable.

③ The sample is injected into the sample dish, the height of the sample should exceed the expected needle degree value of 10mm, and cover the sample dish to prevent falling into dust. After cooling at room temperature of 15 ~ 30℃ for no less than 1.5h(small sample dish), 2h(large sample dish) or 3h(special sample dish), the sample dish should be transferred to a constant temperature tank maintaining the specified test temperature ± 0.1 ℃, and should be kept warm for no less than 1.5h(small sample dish), 2h(large sample dish) or 2.5 h(special sample dish).

(4) Adjust the needle entry meter to make it level. Check the needle linkage and guide rail to verify the absence of water and other foreign objects and no obvious rubbing. Clean standard needles with trichloroethylene or other solvent and dry them. Insert the standard needle into the connecting rod of the human needle, secure with screws, and add additional weights according to the test conditions.

5.2 Test Procedure

(1) Take out the sample dish that reaches constant temperature, and move the water temperature to the tripod support in the flat bottom glass dish controlled at the test temperature ±0.1℃(the water in the constant temperature sink can be used). The depth of the water layer above the surface of the sample is not less than 10mm.

② The flat bottom glass dish containing the sample is placed on the platform of the needle penetration meter. Slowly lower the needle connecting rod (TD604-3/4 and TD604-5 can be adjusted using the fine adjustment knob on the lifting bracket), make full use of the light and magnifying glass above the needle penetration meter, observe with the reflector or light at the appropriate position, so that the needle tip is exactly in contact with the sample surface. Reset the displacement gauge or dial pointer to zero (TD604-3/4 and TD604-5 do not reset to zero).

(3) Start the test, press the start button, then the timing and standard needle falling into the sample at the same time, to 5s (or self-set time) when the automatic stop.

(4) Read the reading of displacement meter or dial pointer, accurate to 0.1mm (TD604-3/4 and TD604-5 can be automatically calculated).

⑤ The same sample is tested in parallel for at least 3 times, and the distance between each test point and the edge of the sample plate should not be less than 10mm. After each test, the flat bottom glass dish containing the sample dish should be put into the constant temperature sink, so that the water temperature in the flat bottom glass dish can maintain the test temperature. Each test should be replaced with a clean standard needle or the standard needle should be removed and wiped with cotton or cloth dipped in trichloroethylene solvent, and then dried with dry cotton or cloth.

⑥ When measuring the penetration degree of asphalt sample is greater than 200, at least 3 standard needles should be used. After each test, the needles should be left in the sample until the completion of 3 parallel tests.
