1. Basic Introduction of China aac blocks :

Autoclaved aerated concrete(AAC) product is light weight, precast building material, which has the

 characteristics of insulation, fire and mold resistance. AAC products include blocks, wall panels, floor and roof 

panels. 

Main raw materials of AAC are siliceous material (sand, fly ash and Silicon tailings) and Calcium materials (lime 

and cement) mixed with foaming agent (aluminum powder). It is the product of light porous silicate through the 

following processes: batching, mixing, pouring, hardening, cutting, autoclaving and curing etc. Because of large 

amount of well-distributed tiny pores after foaming, it is named autoclaved aerated concrete.

In general, it can be classified according to the types of raw materials,   manufacture process and functions. 

Based on the shape of AAC products, it can be divided   into: AAC blocks and AAC panels. It is a revolutionary 

material offering an unique combination of high durability and strength, low weight, excellent heat insulation, 

fire resistant, noise absorption, unprecedented build ability and superior ecological green features. In China, 

AAC is one of the light wall materials which was popularized and applied at the earliest and the most widely. 

3. Advantages of China aac blocks : 

 A. Light weight:

The absolute dry density of AAC is 400 -650KG/m³, just is 1/3 clay brick, and 1/4 common concrete. So it 

can effectively reduce the weight of building, cut down the investment of foundation and structure, and save 

labor intensity of construction. 

B. Insulation:

Autoclaved aerated concrete products can meet stringent national thermal insulation requirements without 

auxiliary insulation materials. 4-5 cm of aerated concrete products can achieve a brick wall of the heat 

preservation effect. 7-8 cm aerated concrete can reach one and a half brick wall heat preservation effect. 

Therefore, autoclaved aerated concrete is not only the structure material, and it can be seen as thermal

C. Fire performance:

Autoclaved aerated concrete itself is inorganic non-combustible material.Experiments show that the aerated 

concrete is the ideal fireproof material, 10 cm thick wall can resist the fire up to 4 hours. Therefore, aerated 

concrete is widely used as firewall. 

D. Noise performance:

According to the different wall thickness and surface treatment way, aerated concrete wall can eliminate 30-60 decibels noise. Due to porous characteristics of aerated concrete products, it is also a good sound-absorbing material. 

E. Green environmental protection:

Aerated concrete materials are rich in natural earth material storage, in the process of production, transportation 

and usage does not produce any pollution, energy consumption of production and usage is very low, what’s more, which will not cause any harm  to human body in use process (different from those with radioactive and 

chemical hazards of building materials), so it is an excellent green building materials.

F. Applicable materials: 

Fly ash or sand, lime, gypsum, cement, water,aluminum powder and aluminum paste.
