Confirm that the installation environment meets the technical parameter requirements (Temperature: -10°C to 60°C, Humidity: 5%~95% non-condensing).

Backplane Installation: Insert the module into the corresponding slot of the 200-series FBM backplane (ensure the slot is clean and free of foreign matter), and press evenly until the module is fully inserted.

Rail Fixing (if needed): Use a DIN rail adapter to fix the backplane in the control cabinet to ensure stability without shaking.

Connect to a 24V DC power supply (correct polarity, note the voltage range of 21~26V DC).

Shielded power cables are recommended to reduce electromagnetic interference.

Use a shielded cable to connect the 0~10V voltage signal source to the 8-channel input terminals of the module (pay attention to the correspondence between channel numbers and signals).

Ensure good grounding to avoid common-mode interference.

Connect the RS-485 communication cable (A/B terminals) to the control system or host computer.

Terminal Resistance Configuration: If it is a bus terminal device, short-circuit the terminal resistance jumper on the module.

Confirm that all screws and connectors are tight without looseness or poor contact.

Check the module LED indicators (the initial state should be PWR on and other lights off).

Use Foxboro's special configuration software (such as FBM Configuration Tool).

Connect the module to the configuration terminal via RS-485 or Ethernet.

Set the baud rate (default 115.2kbps), parity (no parity), data bits (8 bits), and stop bits (1 bit).

Assign a unique Modbus address (1~247).

Select the input type for each channel (default 0~10V).

Set the engineering unit (such as V, mV, etc.) and range.

Set high/low limit alarm thresholds for each channel (such as >9V or <1V).

Configure alarm methods (acoustic-optical alarm, relay output, etc.).

Adjust the digital filter strength according to the signal characteristics (default medium) to reduce fluctuation interference.

Set the data acquisition frequency (default 10Hz, which can be adjusted as needed).

Download the configuration parameters to the module and confirm successful download.

Monitor the channel data in real time through the software to verify that the input value is consistent with the actual signal.

PWR (green): Always on indicates normal power supply.

COM (yellow): Flashes during communication.

ALM (red): Lights up when an alarm is triggered.

Whether the wiring polarity is correct.

Whether the baud rate and address settings are consistent with the software.

Whether the terminal resistance is correctly configured.

Input a known voltage signal (such as 5V) and check whether the software display value matches.

If the deviation exceeds the allowable range (±0.5%), perform zero and full-scale calibration.
