German technical background VOK ?- Closed acid catalyst for 450 solvent based and water-based paint systems
This additive promotes the crosslinking of amino resin and hydroxy resin, especially HMMM type low reactivity melamine formaldehyde resin needs an accelerator to reduce the curing temperature or baking time. Compared with pure p-toluenesulfonic acid, this additive shows a very low viscosity increase during storage, which can prolong the storage period by 1.5-3 times. VOK ?- CATALYST 450 can have a baking temperature lower than 10-20 ℃ (15-35 ° F) compared with other closed p-toluenesulfonic acids (such as morpholine or aminomethylpropanol). (HMMM hexamethoxymethyl melamine)
