VOK ?- Disper 2022 is used as a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent based industrial coatings and resin free and resin based pigment concentrates with wide compatibility. It has excellent adhesion when applied directly to coatings on metals.

Product features and advantages

VOK ?- Disper 2022 enables pigment to deflocculate through steric stabilization. The additive can prevent the pigment from returning to coarseness, thereby eliminating the problem of floating color and blooming in the system containing multiple pigments. Because the pigment is deflocculated, it can improve the luster, color strength, transparency or hiding power, and reduce the viscosity of the abrasive. The additive does not contain polyurethane and has a wide range of compatibility, especially in low and medium polar systems. If the paint is applied directly on the metal, it will have excellent adhesion and improve salt spray resistance.

VOK ?- Disper 2022 can be used for grinding pigments with or without resins. The additive is applicable to both monochrome grinding and co grinding.

Recommended dosage

Additive dosage (purchase form) is based on pigment:

Inorganic pigment: 5-10%

Titanium dioxide: 1-3%

Organic pigment: 10-35%

Carbon black: 15-75%

The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.

Adding method and processing guidance

Wetting and dispersing additives should normally be added to the abrasive, only in this way can the additives be fully effective. For resin free grinding, the solvent component in the grinding material is premixed with the auxiliary agent under the stirring condition, and then the pigment is added. When it is used for grinding with resin, the base material, solvent and auxiliary agent shall be mixed evenly before the pigment is added.

Special attention

The deflocculating pigment is easier to settle, especially the inorganic pigment with large proportion. Use of liquid rheological aids such as VOK during the grinding phase ?- 410 or VOK ?- 430, such problems can be avoided.
