QDF horizontal caliper disc brake is large torque brake, it is used to clamp friction steel plate.  It is equiped with 2# and 3# air cylinder. There are two models of it: QDF-2, QDF-3. They are both used for steel plate thickness is 12.7mm braking.

This QDF air brake structure is similar with DBH horizontal caliper disc brake, while it can produce higher torque than it. Following is the detail technical data of it for your reference:

There are two models of this caliper disc brake: QDF-2, QDF-3. Their braking pads distance is both 12.7mm, that is to say, QDF-2, QDF-3 they are suitable for friction pads thickness both 12.7mm. When the air pressure is 6 bar, QDF-2 total clamp force is 7500N, QDF-3 total clamp force is 12700N. While this total clamp force is different with braking force.

From above technical data, we can see that QDF-3 braking force is nearly twice of QDF-2. For example, when air pressure is 0.6Mpa, steel plate diameter is 300mm, QDF-2 braking force is nearly 850N.m, QDF-3 braking force is 1550N.m. When steel plate diameter is 711mm, QDF-2 braking force is 2400N.m, while QDF-3 braking force is 4200N.m.
