Solid PCBN BN-K1 Inserts Machining Interrupt Cutting High Hardness Cast Iron Slurry Pumps
1. Difficult processing of slurry pump
(1)slurry pump body material is generally high chromium cast iron, the cast molding hardness is very high, high requirements for cutting tool wear resistance;
(2) the cast slurry pump body has a large margin, the surface may appear sand inclusion, hard point and other problems, which belongs to interrupt cutting, high impact toughness requirements on the cutting tool.
2. Our solution
since its establishment, Halnn has been developing high efficiency cutting tools – CBN tools for hard materials with high hardness. BN-K1 grade CBN tool is recommended for high chromium cast iron slurry pump body. The CBN tool has both abrasion resistance and impact toughness for large margin cutting and interrupt cutting slurry pump housing. And the tool life is about 10 times higher than traditional carbide tool.
