BN-H11 Brazing PCBN Cutting Inserts Continuous Turning Hardened Steel Gear Wheels
1. Why is the gear after quenching difficult to machine?
(1) After hardening, the hardness of the gear is generally about HRC58-62. The traditional cutting tools can't be processed, or the wear is too fast.
(2) Some gears are intermittent, such as oil holes on the end face or grooves in the inner hole are all belong to interrupt cutting, the traditional tool is easy to collapse;
(3) There are a small number of heavy interrupt gears, that is the machining of the gear tooth surface. Only CBN tools are suitable for machiningdes.
2. Halnn CBN tools solutions for hard turning gear.
There are many types of hardened steel. In the face of different workpieces, only the correct cutting tool can be selected to solve the problem better and more effectively, and improve the processing efficiency. Halnn has developed different tool grades for the hardened steel gears. The specific grades are as follows:
