The constructionof  PE100(90):

The plunger ismade of BeCu or steel plated with gold to eliminate surface oxides and to lowerelectrical resistance.

Various probe tipstyles are adopted to suit any test requirement according to differentapplications.

Spring is constructedof music wire, plated with gold which prevents corrosion.

The barrel is madeof brass, plated with gold. The interior of the barrel makes good electricalcontact with the plunger and spring whereas the exterior of the barrel makesgood electrical contact with the receptacle.

PreventiveMaintenance:  

Environment – reduceairborne contamination such as dust, clothing fibers or particles from anadjacent wave-solder machine 

PCB –keep printedcircuit boards as clean as possible

Dust Covers – putdust covers over idle fixtures

Air Filters –fixingan air filter in the release port 

ProbeCleaning: 

Gently brushingthe probe tips with a small brush with nylon or natural fiber bristles
