Lead Blast furnace

Blast furnace, as traditional Lead smelting furnace, can be applied to process materials with high moisture content (8% max) and well-adaptable to different feed materials such as oxide ore, carbonate ore, and so on. The raw material feed in will be pre-heated by waste heat with high heat efficiency. Yet since the smoke can’t be discharged orderly, it cause environmental problems. Thus we make the following improvements on the traditional blast furnace.

• To make the whole reaction zone in a sealed space and have smoke discharge well controlled.
• Conduct oxygen-enriched air blast smelting to reduce the smoke volume produced.
• Add some environmental protection equipments such as surface cooler, dust collector, and fuel-gas treatment so that the furnace can meet the environmental protection requirements that getting stricter and stricter every day.

Nowadays, the furnace has become the best choice for the medium and small scale raw ore smelters and large scale spent Lead-acid battery recycling plants.

Blast furnace can be used for:

• Matte smelting of Copper, Nickel and Cobalt
• Reduction smelting of Zinc, Lead, and so on
• Melting of Copper scrap and other materials
• Lead paste and Lead grid from the battery scrap

We suggest blast furnace for fire-refining due to its

a)       High heat efficiency: furnace burden heated by the waste heat of the off-gas.

b)       High recovery rate: The molten lead and slag will be separated completely in blast furnace hearth, because the blast furnace hearth has higher temperature an d more obvious slag line than rotary furnace to sedimentate the lead metal from slag.

c)       Large capacity in the same operation area: 35 t/(m²·d).

d)       Low energy consumption: No other fuel required except coal.
