• Installation Method: The CPUM is a double-width card, which needs to occupy two slots (card positions 0 and 1) of the VM600 rack and is installed at the front of the rack; the matching IOCN is a single-width card, installed at the rear of the rack, directly in the slot (slot 0) behind the CPUM. Each card is directly connected to the rack backplane through two connectors to ensure a stable connection and efficient data transmission.

III. Functional Features

• System Configuration Management Function: By connecting to a computer running VM600 MPSx software via Ethernet or RS-232 serial connection, it can conveniently perform "one-time" configuration management of the protection cards (such as MPC4 and AMC8) in the VM600 rack. This greatly simplifies the system configuration process, improves work efficiency, reduces errors that may occur due to complex configuration processes, and allows users to flexibly adjust system parameters according to actual needs.

• Alarm Management Function: The front panel is equipped with a dedicated Alarm Reset (AR) button, which is used to clear the alarms locked by all protection cards (MPC4 and AMC8) in the rack. This function is equivalent to resetting the alarm for each card individually through the discrete signal interface alarm reset input or VM600 MPSx software command, realizing unified alarm management within the rack, facilitating operators to promptly handle equipment abnormalities and restore the normal operating status of the equipment. At the same time, the LED indicators on the front panel of the CPUM can clearly indicate the "ok" (normal), "alert (a)" (early warning), and "danger (d)" (hazard) statuses of the currently selected signal. When slot 0 is selected, the indicators can also reflect the overall operating status of the entire rack. When the diagnostic (diag) LED displays green continuously, it indicates that the CPUM card is operating normally; when the diag LED is flashing, it means that the CPUM card is working normally, but access to the card is restricted due to the VM600 MPS rack (CPUM) security settings, providing an intuitive reference for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Communication Function: Supports multiple industrial standard fieldbus communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP and PROFINET, with strong data interaction capabilities, and can be seamlessly integrated with third-party systems (such as DCS or PLC) to achieve data sharing and collaborative work, meeting the communication needs of different industrial automation systems and facilitating the construction of large-scale, comprehensive industrial monitoring networks. At the same time, it has communication redundancy function, realizing data transmission backup through multiple fieldbuses (Ethernet and/or serial). Then, it efficiently processes and analyzes these data, accurately calculating key parameters such as vibration amplitude, frequency, and phase, providing accurate data support for evaluating the operating status of the equipment. It has built-in advanced data processing algorithms that can effectively filter noise and useless frequencies, amplify weak signals, and perform comprehensive spectrum analysis, improving the clarity and usability of vibration data, helping users quickly and accurately identify specific vibration patterns related to different faults or wear, and achieving early warning and accurate diagnosis of equipment faults.
