Bently Nevada 3500/92 communication gateway module
I. Core Functions
The 3500/92 communication gateway module is a key component of the Bently Nevada 3500 mechanical monitoring
system. It is mainly used to achieve data interaction between the 3500 framework and external systems, supports
multiple industrial communication protocols, and solves the interconnection and intercommunication problems
between the monitoring system and upper computers, DCS, PLC and other devices.
Its core functions include:
Protocol Conversion: Convert the internal data format of the 3500 system to standard industrial protocols (such as
Modbus, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, etc.) to achieve cross-system data sharing.
Real-time data transmission: Collect real-time data from each monitoring module (such as vibration, displacement,
rotational speed, etc.) within the 3500 framework and transmit it to an external monitoring system for analysis and

ensure uninterrupted communication.

the steam turbine to the DCS system via Modbus TCP. Operators can monitor the equipment status in real time in the
central control room. When the vibration value exceeds the limit, the DCS system triggers an alarm and records the
historical trend to assist in equipment maintenance.
Remote monitoring of petrochemical compressor clusters
A certain refining and chemical enterprise connected the 3500 monitoring system of multiple compressors to the
plant-level SCADA system through the 3500/92 module, utilized the OPC UA protocol to achieve centralized data
management across network segments, and combined with the big data analysis platform to predict equipment

Interconnection of metallurgical rolling mill equipment
In the main drive system of the rolling mill, the 3500/92 module communicates with the Rockwell PLC via EtherNet/IP.
