Product Description
Australian RCM Certification/RCM Registration
RCM Certification
RCM (Regulatory Compliance Mark) is a registered mark indicating that the supplier declares that the product complies with the safety and other requirements of the electrical safety laws/regulations of the Australian states and New Zealand, and also complies with the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of the Australian Radio Communications Act and the New Zealand Radio Communications Act. The RCM mark can only be used if the product complies with both the electrical safety regulations and the EMC regulations.
RCM is considered to be a suitable mark, which will change the past or current coexistence of the three marks C-Tick, A-Tick, and RCM. It was originally scheduled to start on September 1, 2013 (now postponed to March 1, 2014). RCM will be the only unified mark to show that the product complies with the requirements of ACMA and ERAC.
RCM certification must include:
Safety (product safety certification), namely SAA certification
EMC test (electromagnetic compatibility), namely C-tick report
RCM mark:
The owner of the RCM mark is the federal government. Both the electrical safety statutory management agency and the EMC statutory management agency accept the RCM mark as a supplier's declaration of conformity. As long as the supplier is approved to use the RCM mark in any state, the statutory management agencies of other states can accept it, thus achieving one-time approval for all states.
Who applies for RCM certification?
RCM certification can only be applied for by local Australian companies. The company must apply for an RCM number from the Australian government. Chinese manufacturers and exporters can apply for IEC or AS/NZS reports in their own name, but the report must be submitted to the Australian importer to apply for RCM.
RCM certification application process:
1. Zhongcetong Laboratory evaluates the product and determines the test standards to be implemented;
2. If there are non-conformities in the test, the laboratory will rectify the product to meet and meet the Australian standard requirements;
3. After the test is passed, a test report is issued;
4. Submit the test report to the Australian certification agency for document review;
5. After the Australian review is passed, a safety certificate (SAA certificate) is issued;
6. Customers can register and apply on their own at the relevant website, or let Zhongcetong Laboratory complete the Australian website registration.
RCM certification cycle:
After obtaining the safety certification certificate (SAA certificate) and C-Tick / EMC report, together with the local valid responsible company information, it will take about one to two weeks to complete the registration action and obtain a unique identification number starting with N. Then upload each report, which takes about a week.
