Features and benefits
The additive improves defoaming properties on porous substrates in powder coatings. It reduces pinholes and bubble formation and optimizes scratch resistance.
Recommended apps
VOK?-AP 962 is recommended for powder coatings of polyester/TGIC/β-HAA / glycidyl esters, polyester/epoxy, polyurethane, acrylates and epoxy systems with epoxy groups.
Recommended dosage
0.5-2% additive dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation, when extruded with the other components in the formulation.
0.5-4% additive dosage (purchased form) is based on the total formulation, when added after powder coating.
The above recommended addition amount is for reference, and the suitable addition amount needs to be determined by a series of tests.
Add method and processing guidance
The additive should be mixed with resins, curing agents, pigments and other raw materials by a high-speed mixer and then fully extruded and discharged. Due to its free-flowing nature, VOK?-AP 962 can also be used for after-adding. With thorough mixing, the additive can be added to the final powder coating without causing threshing.
