Features and benefits
The additive slightly reduces the surface tension of the coating system and is a silicone leveling agent with a defoaming effect. Its defoaming or antifoaming effect depends on the polarity of the coating system. VOK-323 is a very thermally stable silicone additive that does not affect the interlayer adhesion of the coating even at 250°C. In matte coatings, VOK-323 has matting agent orientation, and in high solids polyurethane, acid-curing unsaturated polyester coatings, VOK- 323 provides good matting agent orientation and does not cause gloss improvement. VOK- 323 also provides curtain stability in coating systems, and in metallic flash coatings, VOK-323 contributes to the orientation of matting and aluminum powders.
Recommended Use
The coating is particularly recommended for solventborne systems.
Recommended dosage
0.01-0.4 % additive dosage (form of supply) based on total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests.
Addition method and processing guidance
The additive can be added at any stage, including post-adding.
Special reminder
Unlike ordinary silicone fluids, the additive is "user safe". However, before use, a series of tests should be carried out to confirm whether the additive is foam stabilizing, in addition to evaluating its recoating and crater tendencies.
