Working principle

The belt conveyor is mainly composed of two end rollers and a closed conveyor belt tightly sleeved on it . The roller that drives the conveyor belt to rotate is called the drive roller (drive roller); the other roller that only changes the direction of the conveyor belt is called the redirecting roller. The driving roller is driven by the motor through the reducer, and the conveyor belt is driven by the friction between the driving roller and the conveyor belt. The driving drum is generally installed at the discharge end to increase the traction and facilitate dragging. The material is fed from the feeding end and falls on the rotating conveyor belt, which is transported to the discharge end by the friction of the conveyor belt and discharged.

According to the requirements of the technological process, the belt conveyor can receive materials from one or more points very flexibly. It can also discharge to multiple points or sections. When feeding material to the conveyor belt at several points at the same time (such as the conveyor under the coal bunker of the coal preparation plant) or at any point along the length of the belt conveyor, the material is fed to the conveyor belt through the uniform feeding equipment. The machine becomes a main transmission line. The belt conveyor can take the material from the tunnel under the material pile of the coal storage yard, and can mix different materials of each pile when needed. The material can be simply discharged from the head of the conveyor, or it can be discharged at any point along the length of the conveyor belt through a plow unloader or a mobile unloading truck.
