1..Introduction

  Modular Series Surge Protective Device (SPD) is applied to low-voltage distribution system. As a lightning surge protection device for various kinds of equipment, it is connected in parallel type. With beautiful appearance, easy installation and wiring, simple maintenance, module series SPD can long-term stably work under the circumstance of severe weather.

  Modular Series Surge Protective Device has the functional characteristics as below: 1.Large flow rate, low residual voltage; 2.Built-in over-current, overheating, disconnection device; 3.Remote defect indication, remote communication alarm interface;  4.Standard 35mm electric rail installation.

4. Installation Instruction

 a. Modular Series Surge Protective Device can be installed in the front end of the protected equipment. Generally, it is installed in the power distribution cabinet/box, or the the power switch entrance. It is with the power grid in parallel connection type (Please pay attention to the phase line, null line and the GND)

b. When installation, please use Kevin Connection Mode as soon as possible, that is, shuck off the Insulating Layer from the Middle of Power Distribution Power Line, then put the Power Line in the relative connection terminal and tighten the screw;

 c. When using the General Parallel Connection Mode, the conductor sectional area of power SPD much be more than 4mm2 (the specific conductor size, please choose according to the size of distribution power line). Grounding wire should be 6~25 mm2 copper conductor. It is better that the length of connecting line is less than 0.5 meter, and the remote monitoring terminal is less than 1.5 mm2 copper conductor;

 d. The sectional area of Grounding Connection Line should be greater than the Phase Line and Null Line, and the distance from grounding wire to assembly grounding unit is less than 1 meter, Resistance to the Ground≤10Ω;

 e. After wiring, please close Screw Hole Plug.

6. Maintenance

  There is an indication window in the modular SPD. When Modular SPD is damaged, the indication window will turn red. Under this circumstance, please remove the damaged modular to replace the new one.
