Iron phosphate, also known as high-phosphoric acid iron, iron orthophosphate, has a molecular formula of FePO4, which is a white, off-white monoclinic crystal powder. It is a salt of iron salt solution and sodium phosphate, and the iron is positive trivalent. Its main purpose is to manufacture lithium iron phosphate battery materials, catalysts and ceramics. At present, there are two main methods for producing iron phosphate: one is the direct reaction of ferric salt with phosphoric acid or phosphate, and the other is the oxidation of ferrous iron or iron element by oxidant (such as hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, etc.) and then phosphoric acid. Or phosphate reaction, and finally through purification, drying, roasting and other processes to obtain iron phosphate. For example, ferrous sulfate is used as the iron source, phosphoric acid is the phosphorus source, ethanol is used as the precipitation aid and dispersant, an appropriate amount of surfactant is added, the reaction is carried out under appropriate experimental conditions, and a certain concentration of the pH of the ammonia solution is used. Preparation of iron phosphate hydrate is obtained, and further calcination is carried out to obtain anhydrous iron phosphate.
