ASTM D971 Totally Automatic Superficial and Interfacial Tensiometer IT-800, adopting ASTM D971 “platinum ring method”, tests interfacial tension for various liquids (between liquid and air) and also that between mineral oil and water(between liquid and liquid) by means of automatic control of internal microcomputer under circumstances of nonequilibrium. It only needs you pour the sample into sample cup and then press “start” button. Then the tester will finish the whole test and calculate the tension value automatically according to concrete input parameters.
