Introduction

So far , the contact angle on solids can be directly and accurately measure ( the company produced JC2000 contact angle measuring instrument can be measured ) , but the powder samples, due to fine particles , the surface is not smooth, can not be measured directly, only indirectly measurement.

Existing two kinds of measurement methods for compression method and osmosis . Tablet method is to measure the contact angle required powder by a tabletting machine and compressed into tablets , and then measuring the contact angle measurements on solid ; permeation method is the inner diameter of the powder contained in a hollow tube of uniform compaction , by compacting the powder bed was measured in the liquid permeation speed in which the contact angle was measured . Penetration method requires a reference for the perfect wetting liquid ratio.

Washburn equation provides us with a wetting contact angle measurement principle .
