Milk freshness rapid detection kit

With long time storage, milk will lose freshness. The acidity of milk will increase under the effect of microorganism. So detection of acidity can measure the freshness of cow’s milk.

1. Application scope

It is suitable for qualitatively rapid detection of the freshness of liquid milk on spot.

2. Content of detection kit

1 bottle of milk freshness rapid test reagent A

3 bottles of milk freshness rapid test reagent B

4. Using method

4.1 Take 10mL of milk sample into a sample cup and add 20mL of cool water, mix them evenly.

4.2 Add 4 drops of milk freshness rapid test reagent A and mix them evenly.

4.3 Vertically drip the milk freshness rapid test reagent B to titrate drop by drop. Shake them evenly after dripping every drop of test reagent. Stop titrating until the solution turns pink and the pink color doesn’t fade within 30 seconds. Record the drop numbers of reagent.

5. Results

5.1 If the solution shows pink when dripping less than 7~8 drops of test reagent B, it means the milk is superior and fresh, the acidity is about 18°T.

5.2 If the solution shows pink when dripping less than 9~10 drops of test reagent B, it means the milk is qualified and fresh, the acidity is about 20°T.

5.3 If the solution shows pink when dripping more than 10 drops of test reagent B, it means the milk is not fresh.

6. Notice

6.1 According to the national standard, the acidity of milk that provided for processing sterilized milk and condensed milk should not be more than18°T. The acidity of milk that provided for processing other dairy products should not be more than 20°T. The acidity of sterilized milk should not be more 18°T.

6.2 The doubtful positive sample can be retested to confirm the result.

6.3 Be careful to do the detection due to the corrosiveness of test reagent. Do not contact it with skin. If contact it with eyes, flush with clean water immediately. 

6.4 The reagent should be kept away from children at room temperature.

7. Storage condition

Store the detection kit at room temperature (4~30℃) in aeration-drying condition.
