The combiner box is a device that combines the output of multiple strings of PV modules for connection to the inverter. It is typically used in the larger commercial and utility scale PV power plants. The combiner box commonly houses the input over current protection fuse assemblies for several strings (from as few as 2 strings to as many as 32), as well as the combined bus of those inputs into a single main output.

The PV combiner box also house other components for the site, such as a DC disconnect, surge protective devices and string monitoring hardware.

Our intelligent photovoltaic combiner box with SPD series are especially designed to meet the requirement, which can provide a solution for PV power generation system matching with photovoltaic inverter. According to the input voltage of the inverter, a fixed number of similar PV modules can be connected to form a PV array by using PV array combiner box. Then different channels of PV arrays can be combined into the PV combiner box. Its output can be connected to inverter by way of circuit breakers with SPD protection.
