Porous Clinker Refractory Materials

Porous clinker is a synthetic material, with a small bulk density, big cylinder pressure or high particle strength, high refractoriness and low thermal conductivity characteristics, which is good raw material for preparation of light refractory castable and refractory spray.

Porous clinker can be many varieties such as porous lignite, siliceous clinker, porous clay or high-alumina clinker, porous mullite or corundum clinker, porous zirconium and alumina clinker, etc. In China, porous clay, high alumina and mullite clinker, has been prepared into a porous clinker refractory castable, the bulk density of 1.0 ~ 1.8g / cm3, the use of temperature 1300 ~ 1600 ℃. This type of refractory castable can be used in the large coke oven, blast furnace, rolling furnace, ammonia plant, building materials and petrochemical furnace and other parts of the lining, and achieved remarkable results. Therefore, the porous clinker refractory castable is an important species in light refractory castable, but also an important future direction of development.
