2. Wood Pellet Production Process

2.1 Wood Chipper Section

The main machine in this section is Wood Chipper Machine, The function is that cutting the tree log and other biomass material into small chips.

The whole set of wood chipper equipment usually including 3 parts, the log feeding structure(Belt Conveyor), the wood chipper( Tree Chipper) and the chips discharging structure.

The log feeding structure usually adopted two ways, the conveyor or handwork. For the big log or high capacity model chipper, it usually uses the conveyor feeding the logs into the chipper. For the small model chipper, it usually feeding the logs into chipper by hand work, which could reduce the cost of the conveyor.

For the chips discharging structure, it usually adopted the two ways, the chips discharging tube or the discharging conveyor. The discharging tube could blow the chips to about five meters high and spray into the truck directly or the designated place. The discharging conveyor could transport the chips for a longer way to the designated place, such as warehouse.

2.2 Wood Crushing Section

The main machine in the section is wood crushing machine, The function is that crushing the wood chipper into sawdust.

This series of crusher adopts welded steel structure,and it’s motor and hammer mill rotor are mounted on a single base, using pin coupling direct drive, rotor passed dynamic balance test, and can work in reverse.The operating door is with safety interlock device to ensure that the operation door can not be opened when rotoris rotating.The mill feed inlet is at the top,which is compatible with various forms of feeding mechanism, hammer is arranged symmetrically. 2.5 Wood Cooler Section

The main machine in this section is counter flow cooler, The function is that cool down pellet feed temperature,by cooler machine can make pellet temperature room temperature+3-5 degree.

This kind of pellet cooler machine make pellet good performance and quality,make pellet temperature lower than the room temperature.It will help you acquire a high output with low energy consumption.

(1) Using the principle of counter flow cooling pellet with high temperature, high humidity, avoid direct contact with cold wind and hot pellet, which can effectively prevent the particles from surface cracking.

(2) Cool pellet temperature not higher than +3℃ at room temperature after cooling,moisture reduce not less than 3.95%.

(3) Cooler with all round, no dead corner, items dropped more uniform on the section, and even cooling, the new rotary distributor ensure material surface height difference is less than 100mm, which make air output same in cooling section and the material even cooling.

(4) Pneumatic discharge compared with conventional, it does not frequently starting motors that cause high energy consumption, saving 80%.
