1. Pneumatic control type working principle

Pneumatic actuator

Double acting: Air to open, air to close, air supply failure to keep the current position

Single acting air to open type: Air to open, interrupt air to close, air failure to close

Single acting air to close: Air to close, interrupt air to open, air failure to open

Optional accessory: Reversing solenoid valve, limit switch box, air filter reducing valve,

positioner, handle manual, lock up valve

I.  Double acting (POADA series) 

(Counterclockwise)

Compressed air to Port 2 forces the pistons outwards, causing the output shaft to turn 

counterclockwise, while the air is being exhausted from Port 4.

(Clockwise) Air to Port 4 forces the pistons inwards, causing the pinion to turn clockwise

 while the air is being exhausted from Port 2.

2. Single acting (POASR) 

(Counterclockwise)

Compressed air to Port 2 forces the pistons outwards, causing the springs to compress,

the pinion counterclockwise while air is being exhausted from Port 4.

(Clockwise)

 Loss of air pressure, the stored energy in the springs forces the pistons inwards,

 the pinionturns clockwise, while air is being exhausted from Port 4.
