      CBH - Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA, 22:6 n-3), an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), is the most important essential fatty acid for human beings and is found throughout the body. DHA is a major building block of cell membranes and can be found in high concentrations in brain, nerve tissue and in the retina of the eyes. DHA is particularly important during the first years of life and early childhood. It is also an essential component in breast milk.

      DHA is the predominent omega-3 fatty acid found in the brain. DHA represents about 97% of all omega-3 fatty acids in the brain and 93% of all the omega-3 fatty acids in the eye (retina).

       DHA supplementation has been shown to improve serum lipid profiles and restore endothelial function in children with high cholesterol levels.
