Introduction:

WVD-130x wireless vehicle detector is designed for pursuit of high efficiency and low cost ITS traffic application systems. Based on technology of magnetic detection and uPower® wireless sensor network, WVD -130x vehicle speed sensors can be easily installed on road in few minutes without any wiring to acquire dynamic traffic flow information with no maintenance for many years.

Introduction

WAP-348x wireless access point acts as a gateway between user applications and wireless vehicle detection network formed among the WVD sensors installed on the road surface. WAP-348x manages the network and collects data from all the sensors, and on the other hand, provides data interface to user traffic systems.

1. Adaptive traffic signal controlling

Wireless vehicle sensor detect and transmit real-time data on all directions, and Wireless Access Point get the data via antenna. The traffic controller systems get and analyse the traffic flow data, and calculate the best traffic scheme, controlling traffic lights release time. On improving transportation effiency and saving drivers' time.

2. Traffic flow detection system

Detector is installed in specified road, detect every vehicle pass by, and transmit the real-time information to traffic management systems via wireless access points. The user systems can calculate the traffic flows by analysing the data.

3. Corridor management

There two vehicle detector at the entrance for detecting a coming and leaving vehicle and transmitting the information.

Major advantages:

a) Install fast. It is only almost 6 minutes that is needed to install one wireless vehicle detector in the road, after installation, the traffic control could be released immediately;

b) Work all-weather. Bad weather for example heavy fog, snow and rain makes no difference;

c) No damage to the road. There’s no need to cut slots on the road surface and place cables or wires as the installation of loops, but only a tiny hole with the size Φ 120/H 100 mm, which makes WVDs become the most suitable vehicle detecting solution on the city high-way and bridges;

d) About 10 years long life span. With high standard water proof and anti-press characteristics, WVD wireless vehicle detector can even be used in the damaged or distorted roads where loops cannot be installed.

e) Cost saving. You just can use the cement which is about $2 for 3-4 sensors.
