Overview

OEO6500-OLT is a type of OLT device in compliance with IEEE802.3ah standards and Communications Industry Standards of People’s Republic of China (YD/T 1475-2006), which fully supports CTC2.0/2.1 as well as automatically discoveries and is compatible with all ONU vendors, so as to provide efficient EPON solutions.

The OLT device supports a PON transmission rate of 1.25Gbps. The efficient bandwidth utilization and Ethernet service support capability helps operators to provide guarantee of reliable service quality for their users. A splitting ratio of up to 1:64 allows mixed networking of different types of ONU, which minimizes the operators’ investment.

The product adopts advanced technology in the industry, which provides powerful functions of Ethernet service, offers Qos guarantee, as well as supports SLA and DBA.

• It adopts point-to-multipoint network topology, which effectively collects users’ distributed Ethernet services and achieves convergence in the metropolitan area network node;
• It connects with the connecting device through GE interface, which realizes smooth connection with the existing network;
• The dynamic bandwidth allocation mechanism (DBA) makes all users share the bandwidth of 1Gbps more reasonably and realizes reliable quality of service (Qos);
• Rapid spanning tree protocol (RSTP) function ensures redundant interconnection between OLT and backbone network;
• EAPS rapid ring protection protocol realizes 50ms of high-reliability ring network security;
• It supports IGMP multicast, which realizes efficient utilization of broadband as well as multicast of VLAN;
• It supports the triple play of IPTV, voice and data;
• It has a variety of OAM functions, such as configuration, alarming, performance monitoring, fault isolation and safety management etc.;
• It can be inserted in OEO6500-I and OEO6500-II devices to achieve flexible application through mixed configuration with other service boards;
• It supports CLI and GUI management modes, which are easy to learn and operate.
