Description

Water turbine inlet Pressure self-maintaining butterfly valve is installed at inlet of water turbine spiral case.It is consisted of pressure self-maintaining hydraulic operated butterfly valve,upperstream and downstream connection pipes,inlet pipe expansion joint,air release valve,by-pass pipe,by-pass pipe expansion joint,by-pass valve,and by-pass service valve etc.

Functions

1 When one main water pipe delivers water to several water turbines,and if one of the turbines needs to repair or maintenance, Water turbine inlet hydraulic operated ball valve can shut off the water to the turbines that needs to repair or maintenance,but don’t interrupt the other turbines works regularly.

2 When turbine speed governing system accidents happen,the turbine rotating speeds raise up to the setting value, Water turbine inlet hydraulic operated ball valve can emergency shut off the flow immediately,to prevent accidents from deteriorating.

3 when the turbines sets in downtime states for long terms, this valve can cut off water from upperstream,so it can reduce guide vane leaking,avoid the turbine wriggling.

3 This valve has hydraulic locking device,it can avoid shaking when the valve is fully opened,and hit by water.There is also a mechanical locking device,it can avoid accidents happening,when misoperation during repairing.

4 it is self-adjusting shaft sealing,and lead free oil self lubrication bearing,the seal box and shaft end support are designed as assembly parts,and they are installed outside the pipe,it is convenient for disassemble and repair.

5 This valve has manual pump,and manual closing device.It can close the valve when repair or powder off.

Operating Procedure

1 Open

Open by-pass valve----remove hydraulic pressure lock----full open main valve disc----close by-pass valve

2 Close

Completely close main valve disc—start working sealing----start hydraulic pressure lock.
