Double insulated cathodic protection cables

XLPE/PVC

Simple, Cu conducting, double insulated cables particularly developed for cathodic protection applications, meeting optimally the demands of CP cables and various environmental conditions.

• PVC coated insulation, that
  • provides the chloride- and hydrogen-proof properties around anodes
  • withstands local alkalining arising in the environment of protected metal structures
  • provides cable functions indicated by different colours: black, red, blue
• optionally can be fitted with armour (XLPE/PVC/SWA/PVC) in case of intensive mechanical stress. This type of cable is available with a layer of steel wire armouring and further PVC sheath to provide added mechanical protection either where the cable is directly buried or not run inside conduit.

KYNAR/HMWPE

Single/multi core stranded tinned copper conductor with radiation cross linked primary insulation of modified Kynar/polyvinylidene flouride and an outer jacket of modified polyolefin. This cable is resistant to salt water and most organic and inorganic substances.

Application:

The PVC insulated power cable and fire resistant cable are suitable for fixed laying in power transmission
and distribution lines with A.C.50Hz and voltage rating of up to or including 6KV.

Performance Characteristics:
1. The long-term permissible operation temperature of conductor shall not be higher than 70 .
2. Conductor maximum short circuit (not more than 5 seconds) temperature shall not be higher than 160 .
3. The cable is not limited by drop in level when being laid, and the environment temperature shall not be 0 .
4. Perfect chemical stability, resistant against acids, alkalis, grease and organic solvents, and flame retardance.
5. Light weight, perfect bending properties, installed and maintained easily and conveniently.
Voltage rating: 0.6/1KV 3.6/6KV.
Conductors: copper or aluminum.
Number of cable cross: one core (Single core), two cores (Double cores), three cores, four cores (Four Equal-section-area cores or three equal-section-area and one smaller section area neutral core), five cores (Five equal section-area cores or three equal-section-area cores and two small area neutral cores). We provide armored type and non-armored type for the cables stated above.
Outer sheath: PVC or PE.
