                                          Overview   
ZXMP S325 is an SDH equipment for integrated service access with the highest rate of STM-16. The ZXMP S325 equipment of version V2.10 has the highest rate of STM-4 and can be smoothly upgraded to STM-16.
ZXMP S325 supports the SDH hierarchy and complies with the mapping structure specified in ITU-T G.707 Recommendation.

Traditional SDH services:
ZXMP S325 can provide STM-1/STM-4 optical interface, STM-1 electrical interface, PDH electrical interface; as well as orderwire phone using E1 or E2 overhead byte.

Data services:
ZXMP  S325  can  provide  100  M  Ethernet  (FE)  interface,  ATM interface, and RPR interface. It combines the advanced software processing technology to realize transparent transmission of virtual data network signal, virtual network bridge signal, virtual router signal, and service signal.

EMS Support Software:
The  Unitrans  ZXONM  E300  unified  EMS/SNMS  of  optical  network (ZXONM  E300  in  short)  implements  the  fault  management, performance management, security management, configuration management, maintenance management, and system management of the ZXMP S325.

Protection Functions:
ZXMP S325 supports protections for both the equipment and the network.
The equipment protection functions include 1:N protection of boards, and 1+1 hot backup of the cross-connect and clock unit.
The network protection functions include 2-fiber bidirectional MS protection ring, MS chain 1+1 protection, MS chain 1:1 protection, and subnet connection protection (SNCP).

Applicable Scope:
ZXMP S325 is mainly applicable to the access layer of network. It can cooperate with ZXMP S330 and ZXMP S385, which work at the convergence layer and core layer, for hybrid networking to build chain network, ring network, or ring-chain network.

Equipment Structure:
ZXMP S325 subrack has a small size and is only 5U high. It can be installed on the desktop, hung on the wall or, inside an indoor cabinet, an outdoor cabinet or a field power supply cabinet. The subrack can also be installed in IEC standard or ETS standard cabinets with proper mounting flanges.
