Product Description

nBased on dedicated short-range microwave communication technology, the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system exchanges information between road-side units (RSU) and on-board units (OBU) to identify vehicles and supports electronic payment to charge passing vehicles without manual intervention.

nWhen the ETC system detects a vehicle entering any ETC-enabled lanes, the RSU mounted

above the portal frame exchanges information with the OBU installed on the windshield. The lane computer identifies the vehicle according to information from the OBU and charges access fees according to their use conditions.

nAfter the transaction succeeds, the railing automatically rises to let the vehicle through and lowers after the passage.

nThe whole process, independent of manual intervention, allows vehicles to pass through ETC-enabled lanes without stopping.

Introduction to ETC Lane Equipment — RSU

ZXRIS 8900 is a self-developed RSU of the unprotected outdoor ETC system. ZXRIS 8900 supports the GB/T 20851-2007 Standards (the latest ETC standards in China) and can be upgraded remotely.

ZXRIS 1801 is a self-developed new-generation OBU for the ETC system. ZXRIS 1801 adopts the world’s most sophisticated 5.8 GHz transceiver IC design that features stable performance and
superior consistency. ZXRIS 1801 is powered by eco-friendly, safe, and durable solar energy
and lithium batteries.

ZXRIS 1802 tag is a self-developed OBU for the indoor environment.

Lane controller plays as a "bridge" connecting lane control equipment, automatic vehicle identification equipment and other auxiliary equipment.

ETC system adopts a general lane controller combined with an industrial computer, whose motherboard can be configured according to the system capacity. The controller supports expansion cards such as network card, video adapter, video collection card and communication interface card.

Automatic barrier system is used to control unauthorized vehicles (including blacklist vehicles and tax evasion vehicles). An automatic barrier system consists of a host, a shelf, a balance mechanism, a beam bracket and a barrier beam. The starting time of the system must be less than 0.7s.

Vehicle detector is used to detect arriving vehicles and identify vehicle models. A vehicle detector is composed of induction coils and the detector in the lane controller. There are one-lane, dual-lane, four-lane and eight-lane vehicle detectors.

An image collection unit consists of a camera, a video collection card and a data processing computer.

Image collection unit is used to capture vehicle images and record license plate numbers at expressway gates. Vehicle images can be used as a proof for investigations.

Charging information display: displays charging information such as vehicle plate numbers, charging amounts, mileages and account balance.

Signal lights: Lane traffic lights are installed on both sides of the toll road, which are used to indicate whether tolls are successfully charged or whether the vehicles are allowed to pass. Driveway signal lights hang at the entrance of the toll gate to indicate whether vehicles are allowed to pass. Fog lights are turned on to supply illumination in foggy environment.

Audible and visual alarm device is used to give alarms when vehicles escape from toll charging.
