Introduction:
Polymer (Silicone) insulators are intended for use in highly contaminated areas, and are frequently located less than 50m from the coastline, sometimes directly exposed to salt spray for the ocean.
Main Component:
1) Silicon Rubber for sheds/ housing
2) Glass-fiber reinforced epoxy resin rod (ECR type) for core. The axially aligned glass fiber reinforced resin rod that forms the mechanical load-bearing component of the insulator.
3) Hop dip galvanized cast steel for metal fittings. The insulator attachment hardware is connected to the core.
Installation Ways:
Pin/Post insulators: any insulator intended to carry tension, torsion, bending or compression loads. It includes horizontal and vertical installation.
