Manufacturing process

Preparatory work: Ensure that the surface of the original cement wall tiles is clean and free of loose substances.

Mixing silicone: According to the type of the selected RTV2 silicone rubber, weigh the A component base glue and B component curing agent in proportion and put them into a clean container. For example, the curing ratio of condensation type mold silicone rubber is 100:2-3, and the curing ratio of room temperature curing mold silicone rubber is 1:1. Before stirring, thoroughly mix the A component base glue evenly, as prolonged storage may cause filler separation. Then, mix and stir the A and B components evenly to ensure that the curing agent is completely dispersed in the base glue.

Vacuum degassing: Pour the mixed silicone into a vacuum container as soon as possible for degassing treatment. The vacuum degassing time depends on the amount of silicone and the equipment conditions. Generally, it takes several minutes until all the bubbles in the silicone are completely eliminated.

Pouring or brushing molds: Pour the degassed silicone onto the original cement wall tiles for molding, or use a brush to evenly apply the silicone on the surface of the original cement wall tiles to form a mold layer.

Curing and demolding: After pouring or brushing the molds, let the silicone cure at room temperature. Condensation type silicone rubber generally requires 4-8 hours of initial curing, and can be fully cured after 24 hours; room temperature curing silicone rubber cures relatively quickly and can be quickly cured at room temperature or with heating. It is recommended to wait 48 hours before demolding, as the mold performance will be better at this time.
