Product Description

I. Overview

Woodward 8237-1369 belongs to the ProTech-GII series. It is an overspeed detection device specially designed for various types of turbines, and can be widely applied to hydropower turbines, steam turbines, gas turbines and other equipment of different scales. Its core function is to monitor the operating status of the turbine in real time. Once overspeed or over-acceleration of the turbine is detected, it can shut down the system quickly and safely, thereby effectively avoiding equipment damage and safety accidents that may be caused by speed runaway, and providing a solid guarantee for the stable and reliable operation of the turbine.

II. Functional Features

(I) Overspeed Detection and Safe Shutdown

The device continuously tracks the turbine speed through a high-precision monitoring mechanism. Using a 4-20mA current loop input, it can sensitively capture any abnormal speed changes. Once the speed exceeds the preset safety threshold, the device will immediately trigger the safe shutdown process to ensure that the equipment stops operating in a timely manner when a dangerous situation occurs, thus protecting the safety of the turbine and related systems.

(II) Multiple Detection MethodsAcceleration Detection

It can not only monitor the speed, but also conduct real-time monitoring of the turbine's acceleration. When the turbine accelerates rapidly, it can respond quickly, effectively deal with sudden acceleration that may lead to overspeed, and predict and prevent risks in advance.

MPU Detection
