Overview

Bently Nevada 3500/32M is a monitoring module belonging to the Bently Nevada 3500 series, which occupies a core position in industrial equipment condition monitoring and protection systems. • Number of Monitoring Channels: Equipped with 4 independent monitoring channels, each of which can be flexibly configured with monitoring parameter types. It can monitor multiple key parts of the equipment (such as bearings, journals, etc.) at the same time, meeting the multi-parameter monitoring needs of medium and large rotating machinery.

• Signal Input Types: Supports various types of sensor signal inputs, including eddy current sensor signals (for measuring shaft displacement and shaft vibration), speed sensor signals (for measuring bearing vibration), acceleration sensor signals, and keyphasor signals (for speed measurement and phase reference). It has strong compatibility and can be adapted to Bently Nevada series and other mainstream brands of sensors.

• Measurement Range: There are different measurement ranges for different signal types. For example, the shaft displacement measurement range of eddy current sensors is usually ±250μm, ±500μm, etc. The vibration measurement range can reach 0-500μm peak-to-peak (for eddy current sensors) or 0-50mm/s (for speed sensors), which can cover the operating parameter range of most industrial rotating machinery.

• Accuracy and Resolution: The measurement accuracy is extremely high, with shaft displacement measurement accuracy up to ±0.1% FS and vibration measurement accuracy up to ±0.5% FS; the resolution is usually 16 bits, which can accurately capture subtle changes in signals, providing accurate data support for equipment fault diagnosis.

• Sampling Rate: The sampling rate of each channel can reach 10kHz, which can quickly and accurately collect high-frequency vibration signals, ensuring that transient abnormal signals during equipment operation, such as shocks and resonances, are captured.

• Alarm and Shutdown Settings: Each channel can be independently set with alarm thresholds (such as warning value, danger value) and supports multiple alarm logics (such as instantaneous over-limit, continuous over-limit, etc.). When the monitoring parameter reaches the alarm threshold, it can issue an alarm signal through relay output or communication interface; for dangerous-level over-limits, it can directly trigger equipment shutdown protection with an extremely short response time (usually less than 10ms).

• Communication Interface: Equipped with a dedicated interface for communication with the 3500 series rack, it can transmit monitoring data to the 3500 main rack and upper computer (such as condition monitoring software System 1) in real time, and supports redundant communication configuration to ensure the reliability of data transmission.

• Power Requirements: The working power supply is 24V DC, with low power consumption during normal operation, and the total current is about 300mA. It has a wide power supply adaptation range (18V DC-32V DC) and can operate stably in an environment with industrial power fluctuations. The module integrates overvoltage and overcurrent protection circuits to improve the safety of the power supply system.

• Flexible Configuration: It supports parameter configuration of the module through the configuration software of the 3500 rack (such as 3500 Rack Configuration Software), including channel signal type, measurement range, alarm threshold, filtering parameters, etc. Users can make personalized settings according to the characteristics and monitoring needs of different equipment, and the operation is convenient.

• Comprehensive Diagnosis and Alarm Functions: It has strong self-diagnostic capabilities and can monitor the hardware status of the module itself (such as power supply, communication, sensor connection, etc.) in real time. When a module fault or sensor disconnection, short circuit and other abnormalities are detected, it will issue a corresponding diagnostic alarm signal. At the same time, for the over-limit of equipment monitoring parameters, it can issue hierarchical alarms (warning, danger) according to the preset logic, and notify operators through indicator lights and communication interfaces, facilitating timely measures.
