KJ1740X1-BA1 is a HART communication module in the DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS). It is used to connect HART protocol-supported intelligent instruments (such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, etc.), realizing the dual functions of analog signal acquisition and digital communication. Functional Characteristics
HART Protocol Support
It is compatible with HART 5/6/7 protocols and can simultaneously process 4-20mA analog signals and superimposed digital communication signals.
It supports multi-variable measurement (for example, a pressure transmitter can transmit pressure value, temperature compensation value, and device status at the same time).

High-Density I/O Design
It usually provides 4 or 8-channel configurations, and each channel independently supports HART intelligent instruments, reducing the number of modules and cabinet space.

Intelligent Device Management

Working Principle

Signal Acquisition

At the same time, it demodulates the HART digital communication signals superimposed on the current signals through FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) technology to obtain device parameters (such as range, unit, diagnostic code).

Communication and Data Processing
It communicates with the controller through the DeltaV system bus (such as PROFIBUS DP, Ethernet) and integrates HART device data into the control system.
It supports periodic polling or event-triggered methods to obtain device data, with a response time usually less than 100ms.
