Smart cat litter boxes do CE certification, which usually includes the following aspects:

Electromagnetic compatibility directive (2014/30/EU): need to meet standards such as EN 5501-1, EN 5501-2, etc., to ensure that the product can work normally in an electromagnetic environment, while not generating excessive electromagnetic interference to other equipment.

Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU): need to meet EN 62388 and other standards, focusing on low voltage safety, to ensure that the product will not lead to electric shock, fire and other dangers due to electrical faults during use.

Wireless RF Directive (2014/53/EU): if the smart cat litter box has a wireless function, it is required to meet standards such as EN 300 328 to ensure that the device will not interfere with other wireless devices when using the RF spectrum, and to assess the safety of electromagnetic radiation for the human body.

In addition, if the smart litter box product connects to an app and collects user data, it also needs to comply with the EU Privacy Protection Regulation GDPR. if the product comes with a UV sterilization function, it needs to additionally assess the safety of light radiation (IEC 62471).
