Functional Description

The 1761-L20AWA-5A is an Allen-Bradley manufactured MicroLogix 1000 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This controller features discrete and analog control capability as it is provided with Twelve (12) Discrete Inputs, Eight 8) Relay Output, Four (4) Analog Inputs and One (1) Analog Output.

This controller is capable of being programmed to perform Basic logical sequences such as Bit Logic Operation, Timers and Counter instructions. Aside from bit logic operations, Comparison, Math or Arithmetic operations, Data Handling Instructions, Program Flow Control, Message Instructions and other operations.

The analog input signal type compatible for this controller are Voltage signal with range of -10.5 to 10.5 VDC and Current signals with range of -21 to 21 mA. The analog data is converted with a resolution of 16-bit signed integer with input coding of -32767 to +32767. This analog data may processed with the integrated Scale instruction to produce the appropriate engineering value. This analog input may be assigned as the Process Variable of a PID controller. The analog output provide 0-10VDC Voltage or 4-20mA Current signals. Ideal for used with modulating Final Control Elements (FCE), Indicators, Recorders, Converters, and Isolators.
