The four-shaft shredder is a heavy-duty industrial machine designed for efficient size reduction of mixed, rigid, or complex solid materials. It utilizes four rotating shafts equipped with interchangeable  to tear, crush, and granulate materials. Ideal for processing metal scrap, plastics, wood, tires, and municipal solid waste (MSW), this system ensures high throughput, uniform particle sizing, and minimal downtime.

• Upper Shafts: Equipped with spiral-shaped cutting blades to grab and pre-shred large or bulky materials.

• Lower Shafts: Fitted with hammer-like blunt knives to pulverize fragments against adjustable screens.

• Differential Speed Design:

• Upper shafts: 30–60 RPM (fast rotation for feeding and initial tearing).

• Lower shafts: 15–30 RPM (slower rotation for crushing and densification).

• Perforated or slotted screens (5–100 mm) control output particle size.

• Hydraulically actuated screens allow quick adjustment or replacement without tooling.

• Auto-reverse mechanism: Prevents jams by reversing shaft rotation when abnormal loads are detected.

• Sensor-based safety: Stops operation immediately if foreign objects (e.g., metal chunks) overload the system.

• Welded steel frame with reinforced bearings and wear-resistant liners.

• Replaceable knives made from D2 tool steel or carbide coating for extended service life.

1. Feeding: Materials enter via conveyor belts or feed hoppers.

2. Primary Shredding: Upper shafts’ spiral blades tear materials into smaller pieces.

3. Secondary Crushing: Lower shafts’ hammers compress fragments against screens.

4. Sizing: Particles meeting screen specifications pass through; oversized debris recirculates.

5. Output: Uniformly shredded material discharges for downstream sorting or recycling.
