APPLICATION

GreatAp126 is a water soluble polymeric quaternary ammonium compound effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms over a wide pH range.
Preservation of water-based synthetic metalworking fluids based on amines, borates, phosphates,
nitrates, etc, and also for the protection of those fluids based on soluble or emulsifying oils modified with nonionic surfactants.

Because of the chemical structure and cationicity of GreatAp126 destabilizes the charge surrounding emulsified oil droplets and serves as an effective emulsion breaker. The polymeric nature of GreatAp126 promotes the settling of suspended matter permitting efficiency mechanical removal.

DIRECTION FOR USE

For preservation of cutting fluids, 0.01 to 0.10% based on the total weight of the diluted cutting fluid is recommended.
In some cases, it may be added into concentrated fluids, and the amount added should be such that concentrations of 0.01% to 0.10%
are obtained when the fluid is diluted with water for use in metal working operations.
For continued protection against bacteria degradation, treatment of the diluted cutting fluid should be repeated every four weeks. More frequent treatment may be necessary if excessive contamination of a particular cutting fluid system occurs.

Because GreatAp126 is cationic, its compatibility with fluid should be determined prior to use. It should not be used in soluble oil.
