What is ADSL Splitter?
A MDF ADSL splitter is a device used in telecommunications networks to divide an incoming optical signal into multiple output signals, allowing for distribution to multiple locations.With its high-performance optical components and low insertion loss, an MDF splitter is an essential component in the deployment of fiber optic networks, enabling efficient and effective distribution of optical signals to multiple endpoints.
The common and economical method for delivering broadband Internet connections to homes and businesses has been ADSL 2+ technology, using the copper phone lines installed from the local telephone exchange, which requires an ADSL2+ MDF splitter to ensure that the low frequency voice signal on the telephone line doesn’t cause interference with the performance of the ADSL2+ service.
Main Features
The main feature of an MDF (Main Distribution Frame) ADSL splitter 2+ is that it separates the telephone line into two distinct channels: one for voice and one for data. This allows both telephone and ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) internet services to be used simultaneously over the same line without interference.
