 Modbus Master

This device will act as a Modbus master, with serial ports connecting to Modbus slave devices. Using the PLC mapping configuration page, you can configure the host parameters. The device will use Modbus RTU/TCP

protocols to collect data from slave devices and convert Modbus protocol to PROFINET protocol.

l The device supports up to 31 connected devices.

l The number of slave devices being polled should not exceed 31.

l When increasing the number of slave devices, the baud rate should also be increased accordingly, and the interfaces can be used simultaneously.

l The range for slave IDs is 1 to 241.

Users can connect various slave devices via RS485 serial port, RS232 serial port, or Ethernet port to expand I/O capabilities and read/write data from smart meters and devices. For example, connecting to BLIIOT Mxxx series remote I/O modules enables expansion of digital input (DIN), digital output (DO), analog input (AI), analog output (AO), and PT100 input quantities. Alternatively, connecting to power parameter monitoring modules allows reading of three-phase electrical parameters such as current, voltage, and power. Additionally, connecting to UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) units enables parameter monitoring.

Combining these smart devices in different configurations meets the functional requirements of most application scenarios.

 Modbus Slave

This device can act as a Modbus slave, with serial ports connecting to Modbus master devices. Using the PLC mapping configuration page, you can configure the host parameters. The master device can then collect data from this device using Modbus RTU protocol (RS485 and RS232 interfaces) or Modbus TCP protocol (Ethernet interface). Each slave device configuration cannot overlap; only one command with multiple function codes can be assigned per slave.

 Modbus to PROFINET

This device will convert Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP protocols into PROFINET protocols, acting as either a Modbus master or slave communicating with PROFINET devices.

2 Supports data acquisition of 496 bytes per individual serial port, with all serial ports collectively capable of acquiring 496 bytes of data.

2 Supports TCP/RTU data acquisition from up to 31 slave stations (number of stations depends on the baud rate).

2 Supports Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP as both master and slave, with the ability for transparent data transfer (passthrough) between devices.

 Web Page Configuration

The device supports web configuration using a wired connection. To configure the device, connect your computer to the configuration port using an Ethernet cable. Open a web browser on your computer and enter the default login address for the device, which is 192.168.3.10. The default login username is "admin" with no password required.

This address can be modified either through a web interface or through PLC programming.

 Wired connection

On the PC side, there are two methods to configure its IP address:

1, Enable automatic IP address assignment on the PC's local connection, allowing the PC to obtain an IP address automatically from the router.

2, Manually configure a static IP address on the PC's local connection within the same subnet as the router.

Below is an example using Windows 7 for configuration. Configuration steps for Windows systems are generally similar.
